It’s summer here in Texas, so it’s HOT. About 90 to 100 degrees and sticky. Bryan is standing at the front of Chapel Dulcinea in Dripping Springs waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle. Bryan’s little niece is running around winning everyone’s hearts (especially mine, she’s SO cute) and playing hide and seek or tag with her dad and loving on her little unicorn. Both of their families are seated on the big stone benches anxious to watch two loved ones come together and become husband and wife and very soon, parents.
Gwen and Bryan met two years at Austin Community College, and immediately knew that they would be where we are today, in this chapel in the Texas Hill Country. A year and some months ago, Bryan took Gwen to his family ranch and surprised her with her family, his family, and a RING. He proposed to Gwen in front of everyone they love, and the planning started.
Gwen starts walking up the aisle, Bryan gets a smile from corner to corner and mom, who’s officiating starts tearing up. Gwen looks absolutely stunning in her perfect dress that Dodge and Burnsy Photography donated from one of her suppliers. Her flowers are the perfect array of pink to celebrate their little girl on the way and she’s holding onto a locket that contains photos of her whole family.
Dad and Gwen get up to the top of the aisle, and there’s already tears, TEARS PEOPLE and no one’s said anything yet. You can feel the love in the open-air chapel, you can see the love Bryan and Gwen have for each other. Mom starts the ceremony and can’t hold back tears and has to take a minute. Gwen reaches out and holds her mom’s hand for reassurance. The ceremony starts and dad gives his daughter away to Bryan. There are beautiful words said and then it’s time for the vows. Ya’ll, I’ve done this so many times, but I always lose it on the vows. Gwen goes first and in her first three words is tearing up. IM tearing up, Mom is tearing up, the whole family is just crying. Not one dry eye between the 17 of us. I’m over here trying to see through my tears to get the photos, and Gwen continues.
simple love. She tells how much she loves him and can’t wait to see him as a father to their little girl. She tells him her heart. Bryan goes next, he starts with this story about how he realized that he couldn’t let Gwen go and how happy he is to be standing there marrying the love of his life. Guys, literally the only person not crying was the cute little girl with her unicorn. Rings are exchanged and they are pronounced husband and wife, and they’re so happy they’re glowing.
Gwen and Bryan, thank you immensely for allowing me to be a part of your magical day. Thank you for trusting that I would be able to get the best images of your love. Both of you are such lovely people and coming together, just a beautiful couple. I am so excited for the two of you to start your journey as husband and wife together and ecstatic to see you become a little family with baby girl coming so soon.
