The laughter filled the outdoor venue at Memory Lane from pastors speech about the rain pouring down earlier. Nicole and John stood there holding hands and looking at each other like they were the only ones in the world. The sun had finally come out and it was beautiful.
Earlier that day the sky was a big gray cloud with everyone wondering if rain would be pouring down anytime soon. Nicole wasn’t too worried about it. At least, not from what we could tell. She knew that everything would be fine. She got dressed into her stunning wedding gown by (insert here). Hair and makeup perfectly done and slipping into her shoes.
It starts thundering. The sky is so dark it looks like 7pm. Then the rain starts pouring down. “It’ll pass” says Nicole. She’s so calm about it. She just had acupuncture done 20 minutes ago! Sure enough. She’s right. The rain stops, the sun doesn’t come out yet but I gather all the bridesmaids and the bride and tell them, “I think we have about 20 minutes to take photos before it starts pouring outside”. So we all make sure the boys are no where to be found, and we basically run outside out into the dark clouds and humidity from the rain. And we start snapping some photos. They’re all laughing and giggling and having a blast. The excitement is starting to build. No more rain! But then, we starts feeling drops. Oh. No. Her makeup!! AHH! We run back inside just in time. It starts pouring. Again. Crap we thought it would pass.
About 30 minutes later, 10 minutes before the ceremony is supposed to start, the clouds break, the rain stops and the sun starts glowing down on everyone. There’s a calmness coming over everyone and smiles are glowing in the sunlight. Nicole comes down the aisle, Johnny sees his beautiful wife for the first time, and the ceremony starts.
Everything’s perfect.
Thank you Nicole and Johnny for letting us capture this very special day with you both and all your loved ones. It was beautiful, it was fun and so full of love. We had a blast and feel so honored to be able to be there. We wish you the best!
